Who is better to go with in CF (1986 game), Dave Henderson 2(-2)e9 or Willie Wilson 2(+1)e3. I have Dave in CF and Willie at DH for now (only against Leftie's).

After reading the arm/range post, I'd say go with Henderson. The difference in arms feels better than the difference in errors with regards to allowing runs to score. I'm curious to see what our experts think.

Yup, I've got that e difference as being worth about 5 runs over the course of the season... I can't put an exact number on the arm difference just yet, but since I found the difference between a 0 arm in CF and a +3 was 17 runs, I would think the difference between a -2 and a +1 would have to be at least 5. (I would not expect it to be 17, because I suspect that a really bad arm hurts you more than a marginally bad one, but I would think it would be more than 5.)

The info you gave on the arms study was very enlightening! I always assumed outfielders arms would matter more than your study found!

Personally, I would go with Henderson over Wilson in the field just because of the arm. Wilson is no slouch, though, even with the weaker arm. He's certainly no Juan Pierre!
