Pitching park
Good Defense
Lotsa speed
High doubles hitters

Agree with Vis.

A mistake I've made in the past is using only high BA/OB hitters and not have that big bat in the middle. Hitters that have more natural HR's versus ballpark HR's are important.

I've seen Ortiz/Howard types still get 35-40 Hr's in pitcher parks.

here's the team so far....tell me what you think. This is something I haven't tried before. Carlos Pena ia avail in the FA list but not much else. Also I'm in a pitchers park, but the rest in my div are swing aways!
:(

ps. what about settings on manager settings what do you put for stealing....normal? and then on the burners.. steal more???

I would set your stealing on normal for steal with Figgins, Wright & Roberts to steal more. You could try aggressive, but your hitting is good and you don't want to run into outs. I have been getting very good %'s with aggressive(surprisingly), but only have used steal more with 19 rated guys and Figgins, who seems to get a good % while other 18 rated guys not so much so. Fenway is a good park for a speed team IMO. I usually go there for the singles factor for my slap hitters, especially with good middle IF "D". You have more power than I usually would, but hitting parks in division may neccessitate it. You may need some R2's in that bullpen.

OK JD, I'm down with what you're saying...so last question;

How would you bat the order??? I've never had so many leadoff hitters before!

You've got too many SP. Go with your 4 man rotation and dump Jiminez, Rogers, Garza and Sosa. Pick up some 50ยข slug SP that will never pitch. List all 5 in your rotation settings putting your slug SP at #5. That will keep him from RP and from starting.

Take some of your money savings and try to upgrade elsewhere.
