I sure can't pretend to know . . . but one thing I'll say, I really like Chief Meyers this time around and look forward to using him. The defense is much better, the price is right . . . I bet he'll be a hot property.

Hmm ... good point. Too slow for a speedy smallball team. Maybe he'll just be another O'Neill. But his clutch is much better than O'Neill's ... I could see him being a very productive lower-lineup hitter on some teams.

Anyway, what the hell do I know??? :?

Loved Chief Meyers as a hitter in ATG2, but I hated that T-20 rating. I've had him commit well over 30 errors in a season. For ATG3, I agree about comparison to O'Neill.

Overall, I think I've got 4 or 5 guys with potential to steal bases.

Are you not concerned about Earl in CF? I think the combination of Doyle Dropping and WIlls running by the ball will leave guys on 1st and Combs will let them circle the bases like my electric meter in this last heat wave.

I've done 3 Griffith teams out of the gate. This is the third and I really like it; has some of the same parts as Riggo. I don't mind slugs per se, I used O'Neill a lot in ATGII and I plan to use Meyers a lot in ATGIII.

Riggo, I'd lose Combs. I tried him a few times before conceeding to the bad arm.

Adrian, I was hoping to get Myers and Terry as well.

Looks like we all agree on the pitchers more or less... :D

Here's my first offering. Keep in mind, I'm trying to use new cards as much as possible. I had a team full of ATG2 cards at one point and couldn't see myself doing that. I'm forcing some new cards where I might see some better options with old cards.

League is about 50% small-neutral parks.

I tried to stick with my formula for a team of good d up the middle, a L and R power threat, and fill in the blanks with obp and/or defense. Howard and Parker are the power, with Jackson and Harris providing extra base hits. 1s up the middle. Injuries could be my downfall...

Pitching is suited to my park, hoping for the rest of the league's parks to follow in line. I better double check those parks, or else I could be in big trouble!

This is about the 5th different version of this team that I've assembled. I doubt I'll make any changes unless the FA wire lights up with that special player.

Yeah, I am concerned about Earl in CF. I wanted Elmer Flick, but missed him in draft. the +3 arm is ugly, but he's got gold glove range and hits .356. I wanted a lefty w/ a high batting average, so I'm taking my chances. 8)

The Doyle & Wills infield is the big difference with ATG2. With the new salaries, I had to sacrifice defense to get a good bat at 2B. As for Wills, I think he may be a good bargain player since his salary is about 1/2 of what it was in ATG2. :P

Interesting team [b:f624701518]AG[/b:f624701518]. I love the lineup, but you haven't spent nearly as much on pitching as I did.
