I'm gettin my a** kicked pretty bad and I have some guy who is annoying the hell out of me to trade him Billy Williams.

Other than that, it's alright.

Good Lord do I suck wind at this game. Seems like there's just as much pitching or more than ATG (OK, maybe an exaggeration) but OBP and especially batting average are impossible to find on a consistent basis. A case in point, last night I was 22-5 with my ATG and 2005 teams, and 0-6 with my 69.

I'm not going to quit, though. Someday, somehow, I'm going to figure this out.

Damned hippies...

I bought a five pack. I'm playing at around .530. But the game hasn't captured my imagination. Probably won't buy any more 69 teams.

I'm doing ok with 69 . Of course , its new so everyone else is at the same point I am . I do agree with Petrosian though , its not an earthshaking type game . D is mediocre, obp is hard to get . In both leagues I have a decent pen which helps . I'd play it again but not on the scale I play ATGII .

Love the 69 game, totally different paradigm, both right and left-handed parks, a great cross-over park, no-one can put an all-star team together, matching your team to your park is whats its all about.
lots of speed, few good catchers arms or strong pitching hold cards, platoons are pretty much necessary to win, and there are some really kuul creative platoons, especially at C, 2B, 3B and LF.
drafting is not for the meek, there are always owners with cash left and nothing great to spend it on.
best part of the 69 game is finding a way to score runs in different ways against very strong starting pitching.

Thanks all. I guess I'll make another donation to TSN and give it a try.

The complaints about '69 run along the same lines, which suggests to me that almost everyone has the same problems ... so that there should be parity, even if the teams one puts together are somewhat frustrating.
