Help with this Busch team 2006

Postby Thomasmore » Mon Aug 07, 2006 11:13 am

:? Other Stadiums: Bank1, Yankee
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2006/team/team_other.html?user_id=8553

Righty Lineup
1 Castillo 2b
2. Glaus 3b
3 Cabrera LF
4 Griffey DH
5 Jones CF
6 Valentine c/molina
7 Pena 1b/niekro
8. Hairston-hawpe rf/diaz
9 Reyes-ss

Looks like a winning staff - good defense and killer offense to me, but I am often mistaken. I could go with defensive catcher- Miller, use Walker in Right.

Please help!

I think your bullpen will kill you. Dont love a jones here if it was me I would release him put griff in cf use diaz/harpe dh or maybe upgrade it and use the money to pu setup and closer like carrasco nathan or something like that

Agree with rgimbel that A. Jones will underperform here, but if the option for CF is Griffey, I'd stick with A. Jones. Also, having one D4 in the OF corner is iffy, having one at both corners of the OF might get A. Jones and the pitching staff to boycott the season from abuse.

Lol, I just caught that you're in my league!!! Forget what I said, two 4's in the OF is a very good thing. Jones can use to lose some weight anyways. Seriously, you have a nice team, at least at this moment!!!! You make more moves in one hour than GenevaJack makes in a preseason (trust me, he's the tweaking king). All in all, a good team that should contend, especially since I think one of those teams in your division has forgotten he joined the league (1st waiver pick, didn't bother)

Thanks for the help- I did make so many moves I'm sea sick. It was hard to see Giambi sit it out. Also Martinez. You know, 4s in RF & LF are far less trouble than at 1st and 3rd. I think a 4 may give up 4 more hits than a 3 over 162 games. 8)
