[quote:7510e42a3e="Hakmusic"]BTW, I hear there might be a 5,10,20 FA penalty option in ATGIII, if so, we will use that in this league.[/quote:7510e42a3e]

I just answered my own question.

If an owner mistakenly ADs another team's player he obviously has to give that player up to the rightful team. However he should not get an advantage of being able to trade that player to the rightful team for a player that could help his team out. That seems like an unfair advantage, giving advantage to the owner that shouldn't have Ad'd that player in the first place.

The best thing would be for the wrongful team to simply drop that player before, during or after waivers without recieving a benefit. If it is a player from the other team's "home" team it is not a problem as all of his players are protected all year. If, on the other hand, it is a live drafted player the rightful owner of that player should not have to waste a waiver pick to pick him up. That player should be dropped and be the property of the team that live drafted him until he is able to pick him up after waivers.

Are these valid points? Am I being too picky? I just think it is better to think about these things before it happens........and its probably going to happen.

I did create the league... 100M, AL Only, Pre-1961, No DH, Frenzy

OK... just kidding, it's really:
The league is called... 80's Crossover into ATG III
80M, DH, Advanced, Weighted Waivers, 5/10/20 Drop Penalty

I PM'd the password to other East Managers...
cpl, jablowmi, and LMBombers

Can each of those managers let me know if they DO NOT get the PM
(I've had strange issues with the PM's over the the last few days).

Thanks... Bill

LMB... I agree with your points... that was how I'd assumed we would work it... no advantages to the "wrongful picku"p team and no disadvantage to the "should've been on" team.

Hopefully others will weigh in.

After my long winded previous post, I thought I'd try to be brief.

Yes, your home team players are your property unless you trade them, no one can claim them in the FA pool.

If you accidently draft, or are given by Hal, someone else's property, you must release them to the FA pool. There is no trade, no benefit. If it is one of the individual players, send a league mail announcing what you are doing, so it will be clear to all that this player is not free game.

If Hal gives you ineligable players in the AD, or players from another manager's home team, they must be dropped before or after waivers as soon as possible.

If there are any other points I've forgotten, or anything else that you think needs clarification, bring it up, better to wraggle about it now than after the fact.

I'd say lets start loading, with the qualification that if you list and AD a guy who gets drafted in these last few picks, you will agree to release him in the preseason.
