No DH.. 80M... Frenzy
I might suggest we use the 5/10/20 drop penalty so we can maybe swap out a few guys to/from our full-team pool during the season, at least early (since we're not really sure in limiting to 23 teams what the live-able evils are.. e.g. 3's at SS, thin bullpen, etc., and may not know until after 10-15 games... the 5/10/20 would help tweak, and tweak is the right word, because there won't be much good stuff in the free agent pool.
It'll be set as "frenzy", since there's no full meaning assigned to "waiver priority", since each team has rights to at least a full team and 6 players, and whoever they can pick up from the autodraft.
As to trades, rules, etc.. see below for a longer description of the rules as they were agreed-upon in principle earlier in the thread (on the main ATG board).
If anyone has a different interpreattion, strong preferences for changes to these rules, or otherwise has better suggestions... as always please comment on the htread and we'll kick up discussion amongst the owners.
The Rules...
- only players from one of the new 23 ATG-3 teams are eligbile to play during the season... at NO TIME may a player NOT from the 23 teams be on a roster during the season! Note, players who in ATG-3 stayed on the same team/year but who simply had their cards changed from what they were in ATG-2 (e.g. updating to super-advanced) ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THIS LEAGUE... thus the Brave's (Aaron, Mathews, ...) and several others who got new/uniquely updated cards ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.
- you have "permanent rights" to the players from the full team you drafted, regardless of whether they are in the free agent pool, even when the season begins, all players from your full-team selection can ONLY PLAY FOR THE MANAGER WHO DRAFTED THAT TEAM... unless of course a trade is made, as trades are allowable.
- you only have "initial draft" rights to the individual players that were drafted... if for some reason the drafting manager fails to include such a player on their draft card, or if the drafting manager drops such a player (again those individually drafted) either in pre-season or during the season, then that player becomes avalable to any/all managers.
- if a player from one of the drafted "full-teams" ends up on other managers' roster via the autodraft, they should be released into the free agent pool as soon right away after the autodraft, no trades of these players, only drops, so that the "owning manager" can either pick them up as needed, or can decide to leave them in the free agent pool until later in the season.
- if a player not from one of the 23 eligible teams ends up on a manager's roster via the autodraft, they should be released into the free agent pool as soon as possible after the autodraft, but in all cases BEFORE the season starts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the record, below was posted at end of our other ATG thread...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Yes, 80M, No DH
- the only limitation on players is THEY MUST BE ON ONE OF THE NEW 23 ATG-3 TEAMS... even if a player was in ATG-2, if they are included ON ONE OF the 23 new teams, they are eligible.. e.g. Averill, etc.
- you have total rights for the full season to every player on the team you select, when they are in the waiver pool, only the manager who has that team can pick up players 9and of course they can trade them)
- you live draft 6 players
- even after the 6 player rounds, anyone can pick up any other undrafted NEW TO ATG-3 player via draft-card, post-draft frenzy, or add-drop... so if you still don't have a solid team after the full team pick + 6 players, there's still opportunity to pick up other players who are both undrafted and on teams that were not drafted
- trades are fully allowed, whether they are from your selected team or individual player selections
