If I recall correctly if you have a proxy the draft will not automatically move forward after time has expired. The owner must manually make his pick.

I've e-mailed Mr. Koron advising him to make his choice.

Maxie, you recall correctly. Sorry about my email to the contrary.

Another problem with this stupid site is that you can't email people directly, as you can on another site I'm getting real close to mentioning but will wisely refrain from so doing. You have to wait for them to show up here, see that everybody else has been waiting around all day, and then go do something on some other site which has its own frigging problems, like it won't skip over a pick when the guy's time is up. I mean c'mon penngray, I love ya but that's just dumb.

Hakmusic, you're up. What is that? The Coughing Song?

Wasn't that Wagner's old defensive rating? I see he's now 1 e24. Did TSN normalize anything else besides fielding? Who did they normalize: Deadball? Pre-War? Everybody?

At any rate, I think it's a big improvement.

It appears pre 1956 or thereabouts the Es were normalized downward and some post Eisenhower Administration players were nudged upward.

I wouldn't call it normalizing but Ryan got a *S rating for "meritorious service." So did Feller. They had less than 200 innings pitched.

The "meritorious service" is TSN's explanation for the *S rating, which Palmer and Gomez also received in ATG3.

I am still wondering what was so special about Greg Mathews's career that warranted his *S award.

Hak,
When you make your pick, stick around. If UncleNY has left a couple of proxies it should return to you very quickly. I just have a feeling.

Yeah and Bruce Fricken Hurst. Was that * for the Vietnam War?

The only thing normalized now is the errors. The idea of normalizing so that a .303 hitter from the 1930 NL would be considered an average hitter is beyond SOM. That's one of the biggest problems with this Sim: no baseline, no [i:aa2e61778b]context.[/i:aa2e61778b]

There are others, like the whole 50/50 batter/pitcher card thing getting blown out of the water by Tom Tippett 20 years ago.
