1903-1959 Hitters/Pitchers Era Live draft

1903-1959 Hitters/Pitchers Era Live draft

Postby aceventura55369 » Thu Aug 10, 2006 12:29 pm

I wanted to move things over here. Depending on how many FA rounds everybody wants to do we can probably just do the draft here.

The league is a 100 Mil with No DH

Draft would go like this...

Rounds 1-2 - draft a team's Pitchers or Hitters (You must end up with one of each). Your first selection will determine which division/era you are in, 1903-1920 East, 1921-1939 Central, 1940-1959 West. You will also select your park from one of your first two picks.

Rounds 3-12 - You can draft players from undrafted teams in your era. If someone hast taken Team A's pitcher's you can still draft a hitter from that team.

***Still open to suggestions***

1. AceVentura - MN
2 Munich Man - IL
3. Frannyzoo - MD
4. ggnringo (Id)

7. Treyomo - WV
8. SteveAmes-VA
9. Adrian - KS
10. mforfun - TX

Ace: So with the two teams (hitter/pitchers) and 6 rounds of FAs drafted from our era, does that need to total our 25 players? I'm guessing not, but need to clarify. If not, do we then autodraft the remaining players, and those players must also be from our era?

As for the RP situation, I think with FA/autodraft picks that shoudn't be a problem. We may have sucky RPs in a few cases, but we will have enough of them. Or at least it looks that way to me.

Lastly...tonight's Pick3 numbers?

Once we draft our teams and whatever number of FA's we decide on that is your team. If we don't think 6 FA picks is enough let's use a higher number, but I don't want to use the auto draft to select any players.

Agree on the RP's

Yes, we will use tonight's Pick 3 results, low to high. If any state has more than one result let's use the later result.

Ace: I don't see how we can possibly just draftjust 1 hitter or 1 pitcher team from some of these ERA's without having a lot of supplemental (at least 10). Some of these teams especially in the deadball era have so few players that you could use a lot of picks just to make a legal roster.

I didn't realize it was low-high and thought great I'm picking last when I saw my numbers at a glance. No complaints with the positioning from me though. :D
