On my team
Batting
[b:7012f602c9]Chump:[/b:7012f602c9]
Jim Rice / Bill Doran (season 1)
Even drawing [b:7012f602c9]Doran[/b:7012f602c9]'s blah card, he didn't quite hit it.
[b:7012f602c9]Rice[/b:7012f602c9]? I still think I had Jim's better season card than his worse card. If so, he really should refund his salary to me.
[b:7012f602c9]Champ: [/b:7012f602c9]
[b:7012f602c9]Tim Wallach [/b:7012f602c9]by a country mile. While Strawberry hit ~50 HRs, I probably drew his worse season effort here.
[b:7012f602c9]Played above the Rim: [/b:7012f602c9]
[b:7012f602c9]Polonia.[/b:7012f602c9] When I put him in the line-up, he took my team from 3rd place back into 1st. Platooning him and Rice gave me a ~28 HRs and 100 RBI effort.
[b:7012f602c9]Slow Go on the Base Paths[/b:7012f602c9]
[b:7012f602c9]Andre Dawson. [/b:7012f602c9] Assuming I had his 49 HR season effort and he did play ~ 2/3 of his games in HR parks, he didn't carry his card's expectations into the season. I moved him into the clean-up slot for some punch but found [b:7012f602c9]Hrbek [/b:7012f602c9]doing a tad better in that role.
PITCHERS
[b:7012f602c9]Champ:[/b:7012f602c9]
Kison. His record speaks for itself and with a cost of $.75m.
[b:7012f602c9]Chump:[/b:7012f602c9]
Tough one but [b:7012f602c9]Reed[/b:7012f602c9] might get the nod here. However, I felt [b:7012f602c9]Soto[/b:7012f602c9] did an average job with his card and became the hard luck loser to too many long balls.
[b:7012f602c9]Played above the Rim[/b:7012f602c9]
[b:7012f602c9]Parrett[/b:7012f602c9]
[b:7012f602c9]Couldn't Pitch but We Needed Him for the Roster Limits[/b:7012f602c9]
[b:7012f602c9]Bair[/b:7012f602c9]. I've drafted this cat every time and I keep failing to learn why he is always available.
