Closer rating???

Postby john duff » Sat Aug 12, 2006 7:15 am

I noticed a RP or 2 on Penn's site have closer ratings. Has this rule now been invoked here in ATG?

I asked about closer ratings and ATG2 a couple of months ago. Some guys had them on their card. I suspected they were in effect (Henke experience) but no one knew for sure.

With the push toward Super Advanced teams in ATG3 my guess is that they will be in effect. But that's only a guess. It will be interesting to see what Super Advance stuff is incorporated into ATG3's engine.

Hey man, I have plenty of proxies but they didn't fire off. If I hadn't just decided to log in, I would never had known that I was up. And yes, proxies are turned on.

WTF ?

I have proxies with backups through the 14th round. I won't be around a 'puter until tomorrow morning (9 AM EDT), should things move along at alarming speed.

Responding to the request for a manager to fill the recently vacated 9th spot. If there is still an opening, sign me up and let me know via a PM.

Pick not allowed, User HESMEAT is still on the clock until 2006-08-13 16:35:29 with pick #148. meat seems to have some time left.

I must say, it happens every single time -- it's always the guy who whines about the pace who holds everybody up multiple times later on.

Hey, it's Sunday, and some people like to be with their families on Sunday, or even have to work on Sunday. So meat, what's your miserable excuse?

Got a piece o [b:bdce24774d]meat[/b:bdce24774d] stuck in your throat BK ? :?

Well, [b:bdce24774d]MY excuse[/b:bdce24774d] is, I'm working.

And your pick WAS executed BK, it's just that a whole series of proxies were fired off after you made your pick and it's back to Meat again.

Not.

Shantz was a proxy (it's so typical of engineer-speak that penngray calls this kind of pick a "proxy", which it's not; don't get me started on "migrate").

hesmeat picked Dave Stewart at 12:34, which started the recent round of activity which included Shantz. Unless hesmeat picks again before 4:35 ET (1:35 pm our time), it is actually YOU who must pick to get this thing going again, my dear Moose.

And I know it's totally useless, snotty, and downright condescending to correct people's spelling, but I just can't stand it any more:

It's [size=24:8d06c4b647]S - I - T - E[/size:8d06c4b647]

when describing penngray's playhouse, not "s-i-g-h-t," which would refer to penngray's visual acuity.

Pardon moi' - who uses "sight" - not me.

And I will be perched over the keyboard (which is where I would be anyway) at 1:35 ready to make my pick.
