Nice work, BC. Wish I could've matched up with you in the finals, but TRich got me. I hope to follow in your footsteps with my Murph pitching team.

Thanks Jablowmi. I had to drop the hint, as this is actually my first 80s championship. (In my 8th 80s league, 3rd trip to finals).

Congrats to T.Rich, Jablowmi and YF for great seasons. I don't know if I'll be able to steer a hitting team to as much success -- I'm a pitching/hitting kinda guy!

BC Champ

A playoff sweep is very nice. As one who was swept by BC, like I didn't exist, I say hat off to BC.

Let's give everyone till Tues to sign up and then bring in Sykes and BJS

Whiping?

Postby the icemen » Mon Oct 17, 2005 9:29 am

Did he say Whiping :? :?

That is disgusting!

BC way to go! represented our division well....a division with all 500 or better teams i may add. it was no surprise...

As for sig-ups...looks like we are in no hurry...tuesday is fine YF....say 5:00 PM...then open up to all.

I am very restricted in time due to work...we have gone from a staff of 5 to 1 1/2 in my department. My coaching season is coming up...is anyone interested in taking the reighns of this league :?: anyone :? Bueller? Bueller? If so step up and i will gladly relinquish....

Also anyone interested in a live draft....fast however...this is probably my last league and would like to do it in a live draft format. 1 hour between picks...no longer...check in or proxy but 2 or 3 hours is way to much. It will run 9 AM - 9 PM eastern...giving everyone at least one pick at the slowest possible pace...most likely with the crew signed up it will be 3 days tops for 23-25 man roster. you may stop at any point up to 28. but roster must be 80 mill eligible and under the previously posted rules. What dya say? Live draft on Thu morning? Through weekend if needed? If agreed post a state for pick 3.

i second the live draft vote!!! but, probably only 12 to 15 rounds, and finish in autodraft to make it even more interesting

I'm ok with either live or autodraft. I would agree with a shorter live draft (12-15), if that's how we're going.

East
1. Iceman....Hitting...Royals Stadium ....PA
2. Tgmfp....Pitching...Riverfront
3. toobig...Pitching...Wrigley
4. BC Mngr...Hitting...Oakland -- Ontario

Central
1. YountFan...Hitting...Comiskey
2. Seanreflex - Hitting - Dodger --NH
3.
4.

West
1. Jablowmi....Pitching.....Murph
2. T.Richardson....Pitching.....Kingdome

full live draft avoids the need for a frenzy

Postby the icemen » Mon Oct 17, 2005 12:25 pm

i hate the frenzy....we can speed up the last ten rounds to 30 min or so if it would help. i like having my team done by my own doing...in these type of leagues we use all 25 players so the 25th pick is important.

lets get a dialog going and come to a consensus or allow me to fillibuster until i get my way :D

others? BC? SEAN? what is the rationale for shorter draft? how can we make it so a full draft is good for you?
