Why would HAL attempt this base running tactic?

Gomez is a "D" thief and my settings are normal for running / stealing?

Moreover, Gomez's individual settings are set for "Do Not Steal"?

I think HAL had a brainfart and got paid off to toss the game. :cry:

With Gomez ("D" rated SB) on 2B and Vizquel ("A") 1B, HAL puts the runners in motion with Lofton up next?

To me, HAL gave Gomez (normal steal strategy / do not steal) the green light for 3B and Vizquel moved to 2B on the throw (Gomez CS'd at 3B).

Of course, HAL says "I'll show you" and then Vizquel is "picked off" standing on 2B.

Why would HAL suddenly send a D rated runner off to the races for 3B when HAL hadn't attempted a base theft all game?

If anything, HAL should have run on Helling all day!

First, Helling had a +8 hold rating and Adrion came with a -2 arm.

Second, I had Vizquel, Lofton, and a few other runners get on base during Hellings (5 innings of work :roll: ) with one out or less and HAL never ran them.
