Does anyone know if Dr X even realizes we have a draft going?

I didn't until I read this thread on Sunday.

dr. x is aware there is a draft, but sent a PM to me late last week explaining that he had to go out of town on a personal matter for a few days and would check back as soon as he could.

Nachtricht aus München...

Postby Munich_Man » Tue Aug 15, 2006 3:20 pm

The Teutonic Titans, after being laid (very) low in the last outing of the Naturals league, are looking for revenge/redemption in the new ATGIII season of Naturals VII.

From the lofty heights of dominating the division 5 out of 6 seasons and barely missing 6 in a row, in the final season of ATGII, the Men from Munich posted the worst season EVER for a team from the Bavarian capital. yes, that's right, using mostly the same players, the Men from Munich went from an 89 win season to posting the WORST season in nearly 200 leagues (ATGI & II) with a pathetic 95 loss effort (I believe a 92-loss effors was the previous nadir).

It's a whole new ballgame, literally, and only time will tell if the German Juggernaught can return to their winning ways.

With a whole new division structure, and a completely new players set, the upcoming season of the Naturals looks to be an exciting endeavor.

I am looking forward to the new Naturals season, too, although I will miss my old division rivals. Unfortunately, several of the players I would have taken, such as Maris and Mattingly, have already been gobbled up. I do have proxies in place for whenever Dr. X picks.

[b:b71c90cde8]AT Press: [i:b71c90cde8]Trend Continues ... Stock Price of New Players Inc. on the rise! [/i:b71c90cde8][/b:b71c90cde8]

The trend continues, as the first 9 picks of the draft have all been new talent. Agents are desperately making calls on behalf of players like Joe Morgan & Willie Stargell, begging Owners & their GMs not to forget about them. Meanwhile the Stock Price of New Players Inc., the player agent company representing most of the new players has doubled in value since Friday, and their shares are selling at $145.56, about $120 above what they were when the IPO came out August 2nd.

The most recent draft selections have been Paul Waner, Frank Robinson, Nap Lajoie and Phil Rizzuto. Will the last remaining picks of Round I, continue this trend, shutting out ATG II Players from the 1st round?

Just a headsup that there will be further pauses as bigmahon currently has limited access. Hopefully he'll be able to check in soon and turn the corner. :)

I am going out of town Thursday and may not be back until Sunday sometime, and am not sure what my computer access will be. Should be OK on Thursday, after that don't know. I have left a number of proxies and will leave some more tonight before I go. I will check in when I can. If it gets too ridiculous, feel free to skip me but I am going to load a lot of proxies so hopefully things will be OK.

I'm worried about Sisler. I have him in another (my first) ATG III team, and basically anything under .400 BA is underperforming for him. He started out slow (about .250) but after 33 games is hitting a respectable (but, still for him, underperforming) .374 BA with a .425 OBP and a .544 SLG (all those triples). We'll see how he does here.... :D
