A full draft just takes too long. Reducing the time between picks to an hour or less will only make it more difficult to draft -- I can only monitor the draft so closely when I'm at work. It's hard to leave proxies for more than one round, when you don't know who you're going to get and who's been taken.

Having said that, I'll still be in, if it's a full draft. Not a deal-breaker for me.

Frenzy won't really be the case if we do a part draft. We would still do a waiver draft based on getting your last 10 or so picks, through the autodraft.

Ice,

I love the frenzy -- which is why I like the live drafts I've done in the past that we've done 15 rounds live, and finished the draft in the autodraft. It leaves some excitement in there for the frenzy.

Even if we do all live draft, in this league there will still be a frenzy because all players will be available if anyone wants to make changes. Plus, during frenzy you can reduce roster from 25 to 23, freeing up money enabling you to grab players from the wires.

It doesn't matter to me -- we can do an all-nude ... uh, I mean all-live draft  I'm good either way ! Thanks,

Sean

Come back toobig

The live draft was a question...not a decision. I live draft is very fun, but if you cannot make it, then we can consider an autodraft.

TooBig...don't go

As posted earlier we are just trying to get a feel from everyone if they want a live draft...it is probably easier than an autodraft in the sense that it goes slower...i am in no way a computer genius and i don't know everything in terms of the live draft but i have participated in about 4 of them now and i know enough to do it...and i am not at a disadvantage because some others may know more about computers...i hope you stay and hopefully someone here will explain it to you in laymans terms.

compromise

Postby the icemen » Tue Oct 18, 2005 12:28 pm

how bout 18 round live draft...gives you approx 10 field players...4 starters...4 relievers...or however you decide to spread your picks...7 players picked in autodraft format. somebody explain the process to toobig to where he feels comfortable...too big i think you will like a live draft better once you start it. ask any questions

also...can someone take over running the league ? i am getting swamped at work...and need someone to take over...i don't want to run it when i am not avail for long stretches...i want to be fair to everyone and i know i will not be able to do a good job.

Thanks...Ice
