At this time last season I was 31-47. So now I am 5 games ahead of schedule

Next week is when the NLD13 team takes off ...

Btw my LOTO squad, which was 28-35 like the NLD 13 squad finished at 96-66. 8)

The rest of the league might be in line for a picture on the back of a can of Campbell Soup.

Unlike Joe

To go so long without sending a post card or something.

In other news, I'm heading to North Carolina for a week with the Marines so my bandwidth will be very tight on TSN games.

We'll see how the boys play without any managing as the addition of Turnbow has been [b:25bbbea331]just what the doctored ordered[/b:25bbbea331].

I'm tempted to move Drew up in the order given his card more RBI opportunities but he has been a little weak on the BA / SLG versus what Winn has done for me so far.

The West is tough. I win two, but lose ground to both teams under me, which are getting too close btw.

The West IS tough. The reseeding every year based on order of finish lends itself to that.

Semp, even though I haven't participated much of late, I'm enjoying the chatter & the occasional verse....we henceforth dub you "Bard of NLD"... (and no, we don't mean the catcher) 8)

My series with WM/JTJ last night had it all ... a pitchers duel, a slugfest and a game where a late rally & a closer sealed the deal. Also Manny had back-to-back 2 HR games. And best of all I won each game. ;)

Of course you swept us AT, everyone beats us.

Can anyone tell me why this team SHOULD be 14 games under 500 at the halfway point?

We get shut down by mediocre pitchers like Escobar, Webb, and Jason Johnson in PNC with 6 LHB in the lineup.

We *should* have power, but all but Cabrera are majorly disappointing. Teixiera especially so.

Smoltz' ERA is 2 runs over what it was in reality and Myers and Maddux have been awful. Don't get me started on our pen. Even Carrasco is a run over his ERA of last year!

Is this bad luck or did we just draft a team that sucks? :?

I don't think I've seen Teixiera perform his card all year, and I've played many leagues. Smoltz is hit or miss, and the majority of the time Myers and Maddux sucks.
