Way to go Mark! I know what you mean about the pitching. We played in a tournament in Akron a couple years ago. I pitched the first game and did great. Second game of a double header and I couldn't get the ball over the plate to save my life. And that was slow pitch. I figure I could have done worse...I could have been bowling! :P

Mark, do you play fast pitch or slo pitch? I have coached and played slo pitch in Chicago for 30 years. Played 16" and 12". Love 12". One twelve inch league we played in had an unlimited arc. Several pitchers could put the ball 20+ feet in the air and then hit the carpet behind homeplate which the ump used for a strike zone. Hated it, .400 was a great batting average in that league.

My son does a better job than I do. Maybe they should start their own league, Teenie boopers I. Jeremy has five fantasy football teams. He was screaming at the screen the other nite, because someone took Peyton Manning. I didn't scream when Charlie took Willie Stargell in the fourth round the other nite.

Tomorrow morning. I get to lay on a gurnee, naked, and have Dr. Mark, ram a quarter inch camera, with a mallet into my left knee. Hopefully he can extract 55 years of crude, filth, slime, fragments, chips, pieces, parts and alot of arthritis. He won't find an ACL, because that got destroyed a long time ago. Maybe he could remove about 50 from around the midsection, love handles, chin, etc.

I am off to the old ballyard tonight to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates (no Clemente or Stargell) vs. the Atlanta Braves (Gen. Sherman's troops in the bullpen with flammables at the ready). Thankfully, the tickets were free. :wink:

dspeters5, good luck tomorrow. Doesn't sound like fun. Hopefully, when it's over, your knees will feel better. I am lucky in that regard. At 50, after years of playing softball, no major knee trauma. Just a little tendonitis, which is very manageable. And, I used to play, and pitch, slo-pitch softball. 12' arc. But, for the last 12 years I have played modified fast-pitch. :)
