What is modified fast pitch? I know USSSA has a flatter arc, 6' and they can pitch alittle faster.

I think the doctor was a priest at one time. Bad joke. You haven't noticed my dry humor????????

Titanium? Thats next for me, maybe a couple more years before I upgrade from bone to titanium

Modified FP is fastpich without the full windmill windup that you see in girls softball. In our league, anything goes, other than the windmill. So, we have lots of wrist snappers & slingers. These guys can bring it to the plate in a hurry, believe me. I don't wrist snap or sling, I am strictly a "bowling motion" pitcher. But, I am fairly effective by mixing up pitches and speed. I throw a slow and fast knuckler, slow and fast backspin, and two different fast balls, a straight four seamer and a slower two seamer that breaks a little away from RH batters. My "fast" balls are only fast in relation to my knuckleballs & backspins. The guys that snap throw much harder than I do. :)

BTW, we lost tonight, 8-3. So, I will play Thursday night at 7:30pm. If we lose that game, our season ends. If we win, we will play again Friday night at 7:30pm. Again, my son is covering the QD for me if that happens.

I just got in and posted Joe's proxy. I am not quite sure who I will be taking here, so I am going to hit the hay and pick in the morning after a good night's sleep. My apologies to Charlie and Mark.

Don't worry Mark is at work until about 6:00AM Eastern, Charlie might be around though. :) We still have all day tomorrow and Friday during the day to make two picks, I think we'll be successful in our quest 8)

Well....nobody has taken any of my "wish list" draft picks for at least three rounds. Now I'm really second guessing myself wondering if I'm heading in the right direction or putting together another stinker! I'll test it.....did anybody want Harry Lunt?? :?

He's Alive

Home, with a huge wrap on the left knee. The doctor begged off on the liposuction, he said I wouldn't like his work since he never did one before, oh well. Have to cut back my ice cream consumption.

Simon, I know what yer feelin. I take some consolation when a coach beats me to a pick. At least I was thinking right. But when I get that guy I think is a sleeper, you wonder if you are deluded or trully brillant. Then the guy hits .240 or has an era or 6.0.
