Ideas for hanicaps...

1- Leave mine as it is. Hell. Even let vets force trades on me. I ask for an 8pm cutoff on opening night though so I can set my line-ups. I will let the rookies assign my ballpark.

2- Force a vet to have 10m available in the bank all season long.

3- Make the 11 other owners assign 1 player each to a vet team, and that vet has to keep those 11 players on their team all year. Not allowed to drop or trade them at all... ever.

4- Force a vet team to drop or trade their highest priced pitcher and hitter each time the FA penalty changes. 6 players total are "forced" from their team during the year.

Just some thoughts. I'm sure you could find 3 vets to take those propsed handicaps or even come up with their own.

You can count me in with restrictions.

Other things are forced raids. At some point in the season a 'newbie' can make an offer than cannot be refused (no more then three players per team)

This is a great idea and may be the only one needed. I say let all the new owners assign a player to the vets. That would be 8 or 9 players. I would allow them to be traded, but not dropped.

Alright Sykes, the tables are getting stacked higher against

Here are a few more stipulations for you:

I'll let you take Jack Murphy Stadium, your trades are still in effect, but now as for free agent signings you are allowed to sign 2 players in first 42 games, 2 in games 43-81 and unlimited after 81 (bottom line Sykes I want to limit your FA signings, so if you think of another way to limit you let me know). And finally two players (and you can list them in any order you want) you must have on your draft card are Eric Plunk and E. King or two bad players of your choosing that must be approved first.

Postby AdamPhoenix » Tue Oct 18, 2005 7:49 pm

would have done it last week, I like Chiefs idea for the Central, Sykes and YountFan let me know if your game and if it is ok with you to go into the Central with Chief and another vet.

[quote:1acc55e828]Put Sykes in the Central with me and YountFan. Get another vet to join.[/quote:1acc55e828]

As for the ideas, I like them, I like the ones that help the newbies (of course besides me and two other people who I need to make sure they are still in the league, there aren't any more newbies), and I like the ideas for vets poisions.

I am starting the league spots, please copy and paste when you know ou want in the league, as for the two people who wanted in to begin with, if you still want in, your in, just let me know otherwise. I will put a reserve for you in the East.

How about Eric Plunk and Mike Marshall? One pitcher and 1 hitter. Don't like Marshall, then throw McReynolds instead.

Frankly, I'll take any restrictions you all want to give me. I do better under pressure.

I'll join, but just want need the rules under which I need to operate. It will be fun. A vet division is a good idea as it makes sure the new guys make the playoffs.
