Death Rattle?

The credits for championships this week were issued on Friday. One interesting note on the email:

I got my 80's credit and am pleased as pie with that. However, I thought the email was interesting since credits for old formats were being issued forward to the new formats. Good marketing.

Has me wondering though if the server space is shrinking and that the way needs to be paved to bring in new formats? :D

Out with the old and in with the new? Or is this something that the masses have been asking for time and again on the other boards? I searched them and I don't see anything there that shows that?
