Iron Glove League

I have to say that it is pretty frustrating to get swept at home when I feel my team is pretty well designed for Minute Maid, and my opponent had like 1 good RH bat. His freaking LH bats hit more HR than my whole team.

Kudos though for Lawrences 10 inning 2 hit shutout ... that could have been a game of the week if they were still going.

Wow.... a 3 game sweep last night givving up only 4 runs in the 3 games.

Must be an anomaly. Plus, all 3 were complete games from Prior, Fossum, (how is this guy doing this) and the Unit.

Hope this does not blow my wad.

Arryl...I feel your pain.

My lone championship team in 2006 was @ Safeco. A divisional team had Chris Carpenter and threw him against me 4X IN my park. I had 7 lefties/switchies on that team. I thought I was going to kill Carpenter, instead I lost to him 3 out of 4 times IN MY HOME park.

The hard righties I picked up were for you my friend.

FWIW...

In the 2 team theme league that I'm in, I just got 3 hit by Brandon Webb.

The problem with that is, I've got Hafner, Teix, Blalock, V. Martinez, Dellucci and Sizemore in my lineup.

I never will understand this game.

Did anybody see this game Dr. Tax and I played last night? I put "24" on the board. No, not the TV Show (great show btw :) ) but as in Runs Scored by my team. Four diffenent innings I scored at least 5 runs!

...of course the bad news is I lost the other two games, by 1 run and 2 runs. :x :(

Carlos Zambrano has allowed 18 HR in ONLY 9 games, after allowing only 21 all season in 05 (33 starts). I really hope we get some good die rolls in his upcoming starts. :x

Zambrano can't blaming his 18 dingers on poor fielding unless these balls are bouncing off outfielders heads and jumping over the fences.
This is an odd league so far. I'm not sure what to make of it or what to make of my team. It's 1 game over .500 but very inconsistent!! :? :?

Almost every night I have one game where I win a blow-out, but lose the other two games. I just can't get this team kick-started no matter what I do.
