G-Men Challenge:Alphabet Theme 80 mil. DH/ NEW LEAGUE!

Postby MEAT » Wed Oct 19, 2005 7:03 pm

notice cecil cooper didnt make the gam jam, even with intials c.c., but I guess with frank, he had no CHANCE. H would be pretty interesting...you'd have excessive pitching depth with hubbel, hooten, hildebrand, hoyt, hughson, and you could probably use reggie harris if you played in highland grounds. and ofcourse you'd have willie hernandez and humphries. have to build the offense around hornsby, but lots of solid mid-price guys like hernandez, hodges, haller, w. horton.

oops, just tried it myself, and it won't let me go back to the draft center. now I have to hope this theme flies because I didn't rank my players in any particular order. what the heck's the name of this league anyway?

G-Men 3 are now in place, in Griffith. I am gonna get destroyed, because I am pretty much stuck with a crappy fielding shortstop, which always seems to kill me in a pitcher's park. Of course, I do have Gehrig and Greenberg 3-4, so that should be fun.

If I am following this correctly, B,C,M,G are taken. Lots of great letters are left!

When we need to combine letters, what about the "Vowel Movements"? A,E,I,O,U, and Y. That squad would be pretty solid.

OK, I see my team and the G-men. Where are the M and B teams? Did I enter into the right league?

I'll take W.

I really think that there should be a hard restriction on the letters, at least in the draft and waivers (unless we're going to frenzy). That would make it more interesting.

okay, bunghole ballbusters are in the east with the lobstrocities and g-men...waiting on amesy's m's, and the newly forming w's to start the central. I think d's can easily support a team, and r,s, and t are all potentialities. e/f would make a formidable combo, other combos would have to get league approval. I don't think your talent pool should excede 35 pitchers or hitters, wouldn't be fair to other owners. as far as the frenzy, I think your core team should conform to the letter of the law, then frenzy changes are open game. the 11th or 12th team might need to be wildcards of leftover letters, but i think there's enough to make 10-12 competitve teams.
