I know it is only early in the season but my last season started badly and was a total disaster so I want to avoid that happening again. I am currently 3-9 in Yankee with this team. I have a strong line up vs LHP and will face almost half LH over the course of the season. It is my team vs RHP which I think is going to be a problem. Most of the LH bats have gone as Shea and Safeco are in this division as well and 2 more Sheas in the league.

I need to score more runs as I am currently third bottom in runs scored.
Also I used 7 pitchers last night in one game yet my bullpen setting is on normal.

hmm, not good, to much money wasted on platoom mates there. number one what i could see so far. not enuff lefties hitters vs lefthand pitchers, switch hitters i dont count. give me few mins to make a recommendations, could you give me a list of players that are available ? the top 10 players will do just fine.

Hafner
C.Guillen
Snow
Lopez
Overbay
Rentaria
Varitek
Hunter
Mohr
Wilson
Wright
Byrnes
Wilson J
Durazo
Mirabelli
Pickering
Nevin
Giles
Blake
Bay
Lamb
Alou

I originally had Snow but dropped him due to injury chances. I also had Mike Lamb as well but dropped him for Thames/Morneau platoon. I wanted Varitek but could not jiggle my team round to afford him pre season.

Overbay , is perfect, plays 1b and decent defence. and does hit well against lefties, since your playing in a division filled with lefties parks, thats the way i would've went. yankee stadium is nature park if i am not mistakening. anyways. i am assuming you using freel in CF and arod at SS? and crede at 3b?
I am not telling you t odrop anyone right now, Broussard & Morneau as platoom? doesnt make sence in my books, you could used morneau vs lefties too, but noway high in the lineup in MHO. but vs righties, his a dinnger killer. are you facing alot lefties pitchers in your division?

11 LH and 5 RH. My platoon is Thames vs L and Morneau vs RH. I could use Morneau both ways I suppose and lose Thames but then I lose a lot of HR's. I like Overbay as well. I am working over weekend so will have to try something next week, depending on how my team does over the next few days.

Any more advice greatly appreciated.

ok so since your division is overwhelmed with leftties, you need some more balance, Broussard & Morneau must go, but you could wait if you like, pick overbay, he much better and gives you that OBP that you will need infront of the big hitters like arod, and burntiz, ( he is monster in shea and doing really well for me in safeco) you DONT need 9 hitters to pound out hrs for you, you need good OBP hitters that have nature hits that are righties, and mix with lefites that hit well for avg, infront of the big guns. that is the way i would try. your pitching is really scary me, since you be facing alot lefties I dont think your pitchers will do well at all.

Forcast lineups Vs lefties

1 2b) Castillo
2 1b) Overbay
3 ss) Arod
4 LF) Guillen
5 RF) Burnitz
6 C) Torrealba
7 you need lefty here, that hits better against lefites, that is cheap and has clutch)
8 3b) Crede
9 CF)Freel ( good man to have at the bottom of the vs lefties, speed, but will bat first vs righties)
