Yet again. One blow-out win (11-2) and two losses. This has been happening almost every night, it's uncanny.

I think after 48 games it can be said that this league has pretty average numbers. A league 4.48 ERA isn't too bad and a .267 league batting average isn't anything to get excited about.
I think someone had mentioned that we were all basically able to use the extra $$$ we saved on good defensive players and spent them on pitching. Perhaps that is correct.

I had 2 shutouts last night - probably because I was at home in Minute Maid with 2 SP that are good in that park. :)

No shutouts last night, but I actually allowed less runs than I did the night before (6 vs. 7). 8)

Upon second thought...

...it might be best NOT to play in a high singles park in an Iron Glove league.

Vibrations Update

Postby Jeepdriver » Sun Sep 10, 2006 9:24 am

I made a multitude of changes yesterday for the second time with this team. (I just can't sit back waiting on a team to turn it around, I have to make moves) The changes at least made a profound impact on last night's series, with newly acquired Adam Eaton tossing a shutout of all things and LaRue knocking in 6 runs in the series finale. That's just one night though, time will tell if these moves were appropriate.

We do have to take into consideration we were playing our most friendly opponent of '06, Mr. Kev. Every year there's someone who seemingly has your number, and then that opponent you always do well against. Well my buddy Kev is the latter this year for me. :P

Jeep has promised to share some of his free credits with me because all of the wins he has racked up against me has vaulted him into the playoffs and into world series. I think it's only fair to share with those who helped you along to greatness. :D
