1 - Only cpl5454, gamiam & Old Geezer have a 'free' pick in Round XV. Everyone else is expected to draft a sub 1m scrub.

Yes you may draft a bench player that you'd like to put on your autodraft card so long as you (a) file said player on the autodraft portion of your card and (b) realize that he can be put on the autodraft portion of any other owner as well.

Once again, this is done so that every owner goes into the autodraft with the same # of players (16).

2 - Since we are so close to the end of the draft, and since only 3 owners have free picks in Round XV, and Round XVI is ballpark declaration round - I see no real need to turn the clock back on.

Well to my amazement, someone drafted my only scrub proxy of Andres, so my stadium was picked in Rd. 15. If Big wants Dunn, that's fine otherwise I'll just leave it be and put a scrub in for my next pick.

Ballparks are not unique for the first 2 seasons - so another owner can also use Dunn - they will just need to draft a similar ballpark and post that they are actually using Dunn.

I thought you & some others would draft useful scrubs so I just picked andres at random LOL.

AT, was going to draft someone useful, but [b:84599e9d14]THEN[/b:84599e9d14] you said whoever we draft can be put on someone else's draft card...so what's the point? First time in almost 4 years of live drafting I've been told a player I draft can be drafted by someone else as well.... :roll:

Well since the 15th & 16th picks don't count - since you (like 8 other owners) protected 2 keepers - it is not as if you're making an actual pick. The scrub is simply a symbol, representing one of the 2 players you protected, hence why said scrub is also available to be added by another owner durng the autodfraft. You could also have hit SKIP.

If penngray was more active - I'd have had him plug our protected players in as our 15th & 16th picks - but since he is not, and that is not a feature that is readily available, I figured it would be less confusing to have the protected players excluded, rather than leave them in the draft pool until it came time to be drafted in the 15th & 16th rounds.

So again, E. Andres is not a pick I made, but is rather a symbol representing R. Hornsby who, as my protected player, would be my 15th round pick. The ballpark I select in Round 16, as well as being the ballpark I am using, also acts as a symbol, representing my other protected player - C. Yastremski.

In any case - this is the only season that we'll do things like this - consider it a special aggravation to celebrate the beginning of ATG III. :wink:

With Season II we'll go back to the normal way of doing things. :)

BTW are there any owners here willing to help myself, goffchile & MM out by taking over for an ower in a 36 owner live draft? The team is pretty decent and only 3 picks have been made - so you would still have a lot of say over the formation of the team.

And you would be used to slow drafts considering the pace that this draft has taken at times. :oops:
