Transaction Successful. See you in the playoffs.

Trade was successful. A 6 player deal that can be seen in the transactions section but I believe only 3 player were not immediately dropped. I took over Matt Morris who he had been talking of dropping last week. Pelzer took over Rolen and Wally Joyner, the first baseman he needed as back up with McGuire being a full-time DH.

I then dropped Crillo for Tino Martinez (a solid left hander who I am glad I was able to pick up this late) and I dropped the other guy I got for Rico Brogna at 1B to replace Wally Joyner as backup since Tino is now my DH. I know Pelzer dropped Williams so he could pickup another * pitcher.

All in all a good trade I'd say.

Another 12 games to go before the West plays anyone outside its own division. So far so good at 14-10. :)

Weird schedule for sure.........I am wondering what has happened to Pudge.........He was out of this world in my other 01'.....In looking at the rosters in the west, I think it'll be a dogfight between all 4 down the stretch....It'll even out before long.

I must admit - it is a little surprising to see someone other than JKolak lead his division. I hope that az dusters owner checks in some time - otherwise the WC is likely to be from the Central.

Thanks for the wake up call. The duster swept me last night. I HOPE they are up otherwise it looks rather silly.

I am also a little surprised that someone other than JKolak is leading the division, but I am glad it is me. 8) Of course, it is very early, and anything can happen (especially considering that I dropped 4 of 6 to JKolak already). So far, it has been a good return to strat. Maybe next week, I'll try an '05 team.

I also agree that it is a weird schedule, with some long home stands and road trips.

And I would not write off the dusters yet. If their pitching comes around, they may win a few games.

Later.

It is always nice to rebound from being swept with a sweep of ones own. :)

Past 3 series's with my team have all involved sweeps - alas only one of those 3 series has my team earning the sweep. :(

Time to face the Central & East divisions!
