Only 33 games have been played but both Maris & Mantle have 20+ HR ... looks like they are both set on chasing 61.

Hard to believe I have 2 bats that (each) have more HR than 2 whole teams.

I had, which I think is obvious from my park selection, really tried to build a team that was dominant at home ... so it is a nice surprise to see how well my team is playing on the road. :)

Sykes is closing the gap in the Team HR competition - as he is only 4 back. We each have 3 sluggers in the top 12 of the Individual HR category.

Maris has just come off of a huge series - getting 2 HR & 7 RBI - and has an almost 20 RBI lead in the RBI column. 8)

I sort of feel sorry for the Jukes pitchers in Game I of our series last night. Mantle, Maris & Mattingly all hit 2 hr each! 7 HR in total - so it must have seemed like every 2nd pitch or so was going over the fence!

Improved my lead in the HR category to 12 though. :)

It is a good thing I did not bill last nights series between myself & Sykes as a slugfest - as it turned out to be mostly pitchers duels!

Whitey Ford got a measure of revenge from my trading him by pitching 6 & 2/3rds shutout innings en route to a 1-0 shutout.

Bucky Dent made an appearance, but didn't actually get an at-bat as Bedrosian came in and Dent, who was going to pinch hit & be a defensive replacement for Fletcher, was sent back to the dugout and I got Pagliarulo instead. At least he didnt commit an error, or allow any runs. :)

Sykes almost escaped without injury, but Berras last at bat of the series turned into a 3 game injury.
