There seems to be a consensus forming around making the stud pitcher tradeable but undroppable, like in our current league. You're a tough crowd. Does that mean only the tip-top no-bad-cards pitchers will be selected? Or will someone take a chance on one of those good $5-million guys who may have a rotten card mixed in with all the gems? We shall see.

If anyone has a fierce objection to the rule, please speak up. Otherwise, once everyone has signed up-- we're waiting for one more guy from the current league, I think it's the one who named his team after a certain stocky Tiger slugger-- we can move on with the Lotto-riffic Pick 3 portion of our pre-season.

Stadium, stud, and division placement will be chosen according to the lottery numbers. Divisions go like this:

East - 1 (lowest lotto #), 6, 7, 12 (highest lotto #)
Central - 2, 5, 8, 11
West - 3, 4, 9, 10

Stadium will go highest to lowest, stud lowest to highest.

As Pillpop said the stadium round will go first and the order for that round will be [b:e03ab0dd42]highest[/b:e03ab0dd42] lottery number with first pick with the lowest lottery number having the last pick. Then the "stud round" will commence with the [b:e03ab0dd42]lowest[/b:e03ab0dd42] lottery number having first pick and the highest lottery number having the last pick. Pillpop may be away next week so he has asked me to get the lottery moving once the final manager has checked in and the rules are set if he is not around. I will announce the lottery date next week (if Pillpop is away) and the rounds can proceed... There will be plenty of time to run the 2 drafts since we are still targeting a November 14 start date.

Room for One More in the Reverse Under/Over 4 League

Postby PillPop » Sat Oct 22, 2005 1:28 pm

There's room for one more in the league. We would like to run the Pick Three lottery numbers tonight so we could start our draft tomorrow. Take a look at the rules below-- we've got a couple rounds to go through before we hit the autodraft.

Rules

1. All pitchers must cost under $4 million (except for one stud) and a squad of hitters must either cost over $4 million or under $1 million.

2. There will be unique stadiums chosen via lottery (high to low). The draft order of the "stud" pitcher will also be based on lottery and will be in reverse order of the stadium draft (so the guy who has the 1st pick in the stadium list will have the last pick in the "stud" draft). After selection of stadium/stud, your team will be selected via autodraft. Division placements will be according to lottery too.

3. Every team must carry a 25 Man Roster (minimum) for the entire season.

4. Your stud pitcher may not be dropped, but he can be traded. If you trade him you are not eligible to pick up another stud. nor is the guy you traded him to allowed to drop him.

5. DH LEAGUE.

6. Your stud pitcher must be placed at the bottom of your autodraft card.

7. Only two catcher-eligible players per team.

Pick a Pick 3 state and get into it.

1. PillPop - MO
2. rooks - tx
3. Jablowmi - FL
4. Jimmy C - NY
5. Sykes - NJ
6. roofinghorse-ky
7. YountFan - WI
8. nycalderon NE
9. LMBombers - DC
10. Bigdinkent - OH
11. Mav - CA
