Poor Riggo, Clemens just can't beat Zito. We won 2-0. I think we've beaten him at least the last 5 times we've faced him! Amazing.

Took 2 of 3 with the loss, imagine this , a one run extra inning loss! Padilla made a relief appearance despite not having a R stamina! :o Not sure why because Madson wasn't tired. :? Oh, did I mention that we gave up a run in the top of the 9th to send it to extras? Weird season for us to be sure.

When's NLD 15 starting?

I'm limping to the finish line. Fortunately Mr. Giambi only got knocked out for 3 last night, as any length of time and he would have missed the first p/o series. If R.D. is the 2nd tie-break then I should have the WC even if AT ties me tonight. AT & I spilt our games 12-12.

So tonight [i:bd8e66b81a]could[/i:bd8e66b81a] be the start of an 8 game series with QK.

Well, I missed a real opportunity last night, dropping 2 of 3 at home to Niners. :x

Talk about limping to the finish, I have had to play the final several series without Tony Clark and Adam Everett. Ramirez and Redmond have missed big chunks of time down the stretch as well. Can't be helping my chances.

It all comes down to tonight in the Central!

Well I was not expecting it but I will definitely take a sweep. Maybe Jeeps post yesterday gave my team ideas. ;)

Even if I don't reach the playoffs - which as Jeep pointed out is extremely doubtful - I am quite pleased as I still finish with a .500+ record, for my 5th consecutive winning season in NLD. :)

Considering I was playing in Fenway, a park I normally have a lot of trouble doing good in, I am quite happy to finish the season with a winning record at home. :)

Big,

Tough time of the season for injuries. I hate when that happens.

Who has the tie-breaker between you two? Could definitely end up in a tie.

Yeah, I noticed last nite too that AT was in reach of Jeep.

Joe - I rarely leave my pen settings 100% blank, but I also never designate a guy as "mop-up", I'm like Jeep in that I let HAL make that decision.

What I usually do is set my best R2 vs LHP as setup LH, and my best R2 vs RHP as setup RH. If my best of either of those happens to be an R1, I'll still use them in the slot but set them to not enter before 7th inning.

For cheap R1 specialists I'll check quick hook, avoid, etc. That usually leaves 1 Astacio type as the traditional "long man" in the pen who comes in if my SP gets knocked out prior to the 5th, but HAL is making the decisions in those cases.

Figures we get hot right at the end of the season. Maybe with another 162 games our luck would even out. Sorry it came against you, Niners, but I'm sure Big is happy.
