According to this, only the Yankees could draft ARod. I'm just wondering, if they take a pass on ARod, would he be available on waivers to someone who chose to be Seattle or Texas?

in the original one-the rule was if the player played in 1 major league game for your team...you could draft him...this made it a lot of fun and took some thinking. Here really its first come first serve and you can make a good squad with little effort. Is it too late to ammend the rules? I love the concept just think it needs some tweaking.

It also probably doesn't help that the first two teams taken were the Cardinals and the Yankees. At this point, the chances of anyone beating those two teams are slim.

This will be pretty brutal depending on which teams fill out the card, but to paraphrase Mark Twain (or whomever actually said it), lies, damn lies, and statistics, I'm taking my hometown Nats.

It's not that kind of league, it's for people who want to play a team they like basically intact. It's something different for fun. Also to those of you picking last some of the better teams from the last time we did this same theme are still out there, including the champions of that league, the Atlanta Braves.

If you'll notice 3 of the 4 playoff teams from that league haven't been picked yet including the 2 with the best records. But the point is if you look at the teams, some like the Cardinals, White Sox and Red Sox who you would assume would be very good weren't and other teams you may have expected to be at a disadvantage didn't turn out to be so bad.
