Event 7, League 2 sign-ups - Live draft

The clock has been on today, but it goes off now that the weekend is here. That still doesn't mean we stop loading proxies obviously.

I calculated last night I can't afford all my proxies. Though I see another one of them has gone of the board so that saves me money.

I just reworked my proxies so I can actually afford all of them. Course now I'm not sure how they match up with the park I am looking at. :roll:

Can't wait to fill out draft card with eight 50 cent players to complete the roster. Course after the draft how much you wanna bet that I'll drop 1 of those players then in waivers drop another 1 for a different player.

Jeep is here. I guess I'll put in my proxies now, had been hoping Skinsfan would show soon. Still, we did pretty good today over all.

I am always chomping at the bit to get the draft done, so i always is slower than I want to be but compared to other drafts I have been in, one tour event took us more than three weks from filling the league to starting play.

I would be interested to know if most folks think they do better in a live draft than in the autodraft. that is my perception, I guess partly because when you lose a player you can slip in a reasonable alternative. I recall in 2005 I wanted Randy or Zambrano or Zito and got Mike Wise every auto-draft. I play another nameless sim that has a system for an alternative player. And if you lose your alternative the sim makes a good match like you are in PNC and you want LH starters if you don't get the one you want you get a LH starter that is the next best match. Same with a fielder, if your priority is a number 1 second basemen you get the next best thing rather than a great hitter who is a number 4. So, here, I guess I feel more in control in a live draft. And it is a lot of fun as the draft unfolds.
