26th? :?

Clock was supposed to start at 10 AM which would give smokey until 1:00 PM. Not sure how it was set up but based on past drafts that's how it's supposed to be.

Clock confusion is porbably my fault. In order to turn off the clock for weekends, I set the time between picks to 48 hours on fridy night and have been adjusting it accordingly since then.

The clock "resets" after each pick, so even if I change the clock to 6 hours right now( not that I'm going to), it won't reflect that until the next pick is made, got it?

Sorry for the confusion :?:

James is up again.

Suprised I was able to get Izturus, I almost took him when I took Zambrano. Proably should have taken a bigger bat, but we'll se what happens.

One other thing, I'll be unavailable tonight from about 5:30-11pm EDT.

So despite my saying I won't be using the 6 hour clock I just might have to tonight.

I'm taking night classes to get my MBA and the first one is tonight. This is my solution for my unemploymeny problem, cause it looks like I have to change my chosen profession.

Of cousre at the rate were progressing it won't be any where near me anytime soon anyway.

Actually, it looks like Jeep is up. JG took Giles.

Niners,

Thanks for the explanation.

If you change your mind and want to draft a big bat, give us a call before we pick, depending on what's out there, we *might* be willing to trade.

Good luck with your class. Sorry to hear you might have to change professions. :(

This is a long standing debate actually and people have complained both ways.

1. Smokey had until the 26th on the draft site, that is the only place I know a clock exists. No big deal, the clock wasnt set to 3 hours until his time for picking was already set. Again no big deal but I only go by the deadline on the site and not any artificial clock. This is just clarification of why he had until the 26th.

2. The debate about a person has 3 hours after 10 am EST is on going and I have changed the software back and forth on the issue many times. I think right now its back at making sure no time expires between 12 AM and 10 AM EST. eg. if a person picks at 2:05 am, the next pick will be 10:05 AM and not 1 PM (all EST time zones). Since proxies exist, there is really no reason for the draft to stall 3 extra hours after 10 am.

Penn,

Thanks for the explanation.

Just got back from a meeting. Trying to track down WM. Whether I can or not, I'll make a pick soon.

Sorry for the delay.

tough choice on this one, but it's made. On to Penn (haven't checked to see if proxies have fired yet).

I *do* know who we're picking on the way back so I will load a proxy as soon as I get a chance. Got to get some work done first!

Guys, I screwed up & proxied the wrong Zambrano. Can someone please approve the drop so I can re-pick?

Thx,

QK? Maybe you are speaking about a different draft.

Niners - Sorry to hear the job search didn't go well, but glad to hear you're making the best of things. Getting an MBA should pay off for nearly any career in management (I say that because I have one). You've managed this bunch of misfits for several years now so I'm sure you can handle the challenge!
