C'mon guys!

You don't skip twice in a live draft.

Especially given Jake's diligence so far. 9 of his 10 picks so far have been by proxy. The only pick he didn't do by proxy was on Friday when he was skipped and he had to come in late with Peavy (at about this same time of the day). Seems a logical explanation is that he is being responsible by setting proxies before he leaves for the day, but because we are ripping through rounds so quickly, his proxies aren't keeping up.

We've gone through at least 5 rounds today... an incredible pace, and a testament to the great work you are all doing with your proxies. However, the proxy sytem isn't really meant to handle picks 6 rounds out (like you're expecting Jake to do). Those of you who have been around long enough to remember the live drafts we used to do on the boards know that we were sometimes lucky to even get through 1 round a day.

A guy needs a chance to see what's transpired in order to field a competitive team, and shouldn't be penalized because he's away from a computer... esp. when his record so far has shown respect for the rest of us!

Perhaps he's at work, or that something more important than Strat has transpired which is keeping him away from the draft. Either way, we need to let him catch up.

Just a guess but the person who went ahead and picked is probably not reading the boards. The other picks were [u:1ddac70830][b:1ddac70830]ALL [/b:1ddac70830][/u:1ddac70830]proxies that fired. Don't ya bet? :wink:

Just checking in from my sisters computer before heading back to my apartment and I see that all my proxies so far have fired. Good thing I got Wilkerson earlier who was slated for RF but then Beltran went off the board so ended up taking Dye for RF and moved Wilkerson to CF.

Grr my park was taken right before my pick, literally had US Celluar for round 14 :x, went with Philadelphia which I don't think I used before. Anyone know the name of their park?

Oh well, still a park I hadn't used yet. Time to figure out a name for this team and starting filling out draft card.
