Franchise Theme League

If everyone can confirm the Jerlins/Geekor adapted rules, we just need another four managers ... If anyone wants to change their team in light of the new rules, it's fine by me.

I'm only agreeing to Geekor's mod, that should be more than enough to give balance to the league that really didn't need much adjusting to begin with as the same theme with a little stricter rules is done each year by Page2. However if geekor used franchise roster values to set up the tiers, I've played with him many times and I trust his judgement.

Hey geekor, why don't you compile all the rules together on a new thread and fill in everybody who has already signed up under a new name so people who were thinking about it will know we've modified the rules a little.

I play primarily ATG3 but am participating in the 2006 Tourney and pretty familiar with 2006 cards. SOM player since the 60's. Quite familiar with league themes and have run a few big theme leagues in the 1969 and ATG games.

I'm aware that you have had a numerous number of suggestions and are excited to start. However, please consider this adjustment. How about teams having the rights to their carded players but with an exception. Players who may be potentially owned by other franchises can be picked up by those franchises if the primary franchise doesn't list them in their top 3 or 5 on their draft card. Other eligible franchises can only list those players in the 6th spot or below.

I'm in regardless.

By being accommodating we actually lost one??? That sucks. Hope he reconsiders and/or some others hop in. I would like to get this going eventually. Sorry if my initial rules were too strict. I was following Page2's rules for the same theme which worked out pretty fairly. I even got rid of the 4 million dollar cap so that disadvantaged teams value wise would have a good chance. If we change the dynamics but so much it'll be an entirely different beast. If we get too far away from the "real teams" type of theme than we might as well go with some other theme like 2 teams or some such thing and try this one again later. People might be more responsive to it if we have only players who are playing with credits to burn after the season. What does everyone else think? I'm still up for it, either the original way I proposed, or I think Geekor's rule mods sound pretty fair. At this point I'm also up for a 2 team league and we can just pick 2nd round in reverse order of first i.e. I would pick last.
