I think the full implication of using most of the original decade rules still needs to be understood. Those wondering 'how many keepers' should know that Decade rules means you can keep the whole team if you want (other than retirement by virtue of not having a season on your card at least as late as the current year), or you might choose to release someone to add your latest drafted rookie.
Since the vote seems to be that you can keep 75ers should we not amend the general Decade rule where you are allowed to get any 75er regardless of their actual career span, and treat them like everyone else (only eligible in the years between the first and last of their 5 carded seasons)?
Question: If we are quasi-live drafting initially, how do we control that a $80M budget is adhered to?
Now I can live with the rules we've gotten to, and don't want to rock the boat (too much  ) but I do feel bad for honestiago. The poor guy started out with a keeper league and some neat ideas to mix it up like free-agency. He's had his league hi-jacked (hail democracy), but I can live with the least intrusive suggestion for free agency. I like LMBomber would have been perfectly happy to play an exact Decade league...but...honestiago's least intrusive free agency idea, whereby 9 of your end-of-season players are [i:b7f08ffab7]possibly[/i:b7f08ffab7] subject to free-agency is kinda fun (out of a roster of 25 or so, you are still protecting your favourite approx. 16, and will only have to give up a couple of the 9...and know for that season in advance who it is. That's not too bad is it Bomber? I think the retirement issue is well covered in the Decade league, and over 10 seasons if you've got someone subject to injury, he'll be injured plenty enough, without loading more injuries of our own. As far as $80M vs $60M goes, I understand the desire of veteran players to play with different players once in a while (I suggest joining my "Cheapskates" $60M no-DH league), but in a 10 season commitment, I want to play with the players I started playing this Strato thing for (I want to play with Reggie Jackson not Reggie Jefferson!).
They're coming to take me away now, so when I get my privileges back I'll ramble some more...
