Remind me NOT to get into the East if I make it to round 3. It's cursed!!!

What I hate the most (other than getting swept of course) happened to me in this league last night. I have a blow-out win (12-4) and lose the other two games by 1-run each. And I won't even mention that I out-hit my opponent in each of those losses. Grrr :x

It's not surprising, but this league is so close to each other. One little losing streak can damage anyone as tight as the standings are. I love how highly competitive the league is. :)

And, I have a huge series with Pony Express tonight. 8)

So what do all the Newbies think...

Of LOTO? I think everyone is finding out what our core group has been experiencing the past few years. The competition here is fierce.

A big, no a HUGE sweep over the Pony Express last night, propelling me into 1st with a 2 game lead, probably the biggest lead anyone has had in this closely matched Division.

Robert, no answer from the newbies yet on your above statement. Maybe they're too nervous watching.

i like the stiff competition, but i'm not a big fan of having the 80M, 100M, 60M format. i think the 100M format is very unskilled, especially with an autodraft...makes it a pure crapshoot. and i think the 60M is too because of how small the player set is. i would recommend an auction and/or live draft next year.

Robert,

Newbie Response: I am thoroughly enjoying this tournament and mixing it up with some of the great SOM on line players. I impressed myself by getting out of Round 1. I think that I should be doing better in Round 2, but there is still a lot of season left for guys like Berkman to wake up and start hitting.

To me, even more flattering than holding my own against this impressive group, was receiving your invitation to participate!! :D :D

I like the multi-round format, especially since JaserD seems to have disappeared and did not have his annual JaserD tourney.

Yeah ya kicked my but by a total of 3 runs!!!! I'll make you pay, I have a long memory.

As a newbie, I enjoy the competition as well, and have to agree that the $100 cap is not of my liking either. Kinda like having a 12 team mixed league in fantasy bb as opposed to a one league 12 team. $100 million cap is like strat on training wheels. It leaves too much to dice rolls as everyone has studs at each position. I'd be up for a draft as well next year.

I knew I'd get a response from ya Jerlins  Yes, anytime you win three 1-run games you have to get lucky as well, especially the game I scored 4 runs on 3 hits. But I've been on the short end of too many of those so I'll take it. :)

Things could always be worse for me. For example, losing to anyone in that wretched Eastern Division. 8)
