etdefender's Swan Song

etdefender's Swan Song

Postby ERICTAYLOR 2 » Fri Sep 29, 2006 12:39 pm

Ever since my team lost 1-0 in Game Seven in the semis of the Tour Finals last year, I have been gradually losing interest in SOMO. That and real life has been kind of wearing on me the past few months. So, I am officially retiring from SOMO for the foreseeable future...

BUT, I still have [b:4f48a5c697]FOUR[/b:4f48a5c697] 2006 credits. SO...I want to do one last league, a theme league of some sort (we can decide that later).

The prize to the winner of the league: two of my remaining credits! (Finals loser will get the other one)...[b:4f48a5c697]if I can figure out how to have the SOM gods transfer them to someone else for me.[/b:4f48a5c697] After all the money I have spent here in the last five years, it's the least they can do.

"How do I join your last league, Eric?" you may be asking yourself...I want this league to be (as much as possible) my good buds from over the years. I know if I listed eleven right now, I'd forget someone...

So, sign up below if you're interested and I'll unilaterally decide who plays later (assuming I have more than 11 friends on here who want to play in my final league ever ).

It has been a great experience playing this game, I'm just tired of it.

Sorry to hear you're packing ET. I still get a good chuckle over your Quinlan injury crack in vets/rooks of last year. Always enjoyed playing in a league with you, though not often enough beating you

I'm being forced to slow down on strat given work but I'll be in a Swan League anyday, anytime. Count me in.

I'm in ET - I think one of us must owe the other some payback (but who owes who, I have no clue...)

Sorry to hear about your impending demise, et. If I had any more credits left, I'd sign up for this league as well. As it is, good luck and hope you'll be back soon.

et, I'd love to be in this league. Won't it be ironic if your team wins the championship! :P

I also predict that you will be back one day. Probably sooner than you think. Once SOM is in your blood you can never crawl completely away. Try as you might the mighty SOM will grab you and suck you back in one day I bet. 8) I am eager to find out what crazy theme you have in store for us.

I agree with LMBombers Eric, nice to hear you have "mastered" (   ) SOM and are moving on... You'll be back!

The only way I know of to "transfer" credits is to do what I did with the infamous "Nicole" character- I gave her/him/whoever my user name and password and created the new pbtr persona and let her play on my Bickel Bombers account. Her teams were not as good as mine and dragged down my win percentage a bit, but she *did* win a ring for me...

Maybe the upcoming announcement about "improvements in the way we distribute credits" might offer some help.

The credit transfers can be done. In the Suggestions, Questions thread a while back there was a question about purchasing a credit for a friend and then transferring it to them. Below is Berneh's response.

[quote:aa717593a5="bernieh"]Yes, this can be done. After you buy the credit, if you email stratomatic@sportingnews.com or use the Contact Us link in the game (same result), our customer service team can make the transfer.[/quote:aa717593a5]

Therefore I think all you would need to do is to send the request to the above email. 8)

I don't think me and ET hooked up yet this year but we did battle a few times last year...If you have someone else who you've played more against I will gladly bow out...if not I'm in too.
