Thanks guys, I think JSamia's guys wore themselves out going 5 games in the semis while I had a day to rest up, because he was the better team all year.

It was a fun year, looking forward to next year.

Award votes

Postby BC Manager » Sat Sep 30, 2006 2:42 pm

These are just my votes. The actual awards should be based on everyone's opinions:

[b:bf69b1ed5a]MVP[/b:bf69b1ed5a]

1. Mike Schmidt, Exphills
2. George Brett, Royal Monarchs
3. Pedro Guerrero, Jablowmis

(Honorable mentions to Ripken, Henderson, Evans, Winfield, Parker, Yount -- some amazing offensive seasons, this year!)

[b:bf69b1ed5a]Cy Young[/b:bf69b1ed5a]

1. Steve Carlton, Exphills
2. Mario Soto, Red Angels
3. Charlie Hough, Brew Chiefs

Congrats to Hak on the first title of the decade. Congrats also to jsamia on a fantastic season as well. You had a killer team and I'm glad I don't have to play that particular version of the Exphills again :D

Hey, Exphills, why did you trade Sandberg for '82? Did you at least get Dejesus (like the real Phils)?

Sad as it was in reality, the Exphills lose Mr. Sandberg after only 1 year :( (and a year it was).

I am not sure what glue the Phillie front office was sniffing when Sandberg was thrown in the Bowa/Dejesus deal. I have some holes up the middle to fill in 1982.

Congrats Hak,

Boy you are on a roll. First a 108 win season and now a sweep in the finals

I guess that sweep make up for not winning the BACK TO '87 championship.....

Great job Hak! We'll see if the Exphills can recover from such a lackluster final!

Looks like the consensus is Schmidt for MVP and Carlton for Cy Young. Next year we can implement a ROY award if we can figure out who the rookies are.
