f) DIVISIONS – To be determined by Pick 3/draft order: East (1,4,7, 10); Central (2, 5, 8, 11); West 3, 6, 9, 12).

This is taken from the rules. I guess we need to run another lotto to determine divisions. I think we should wait until everyone has chosen a home stadium before running the division lotto draft. This will prevent any advantage someone might have if they have not chosen a park yet. When it is run the order will be low to high again.

Free Agents - Any player that is not retained on an existing roster who's first card is 1982 or earlier, that has not retired yet is available to be picked up in the next year's FA draft. A player is considered retired after the last carded year he has. All 75¢ players not already on a roster are available every year regardless of carded years.

Some notes/comments:
-- I'd support a new lotto draft for divisions, although of course I looked at this as if the original seedings would hold. I'm not experienced enough at TSN strat to take much advantage of it though.
-- Next year's draft, from my reading of the rules, is that it will go in reverse order of finish (including championship rounds) with the exception that there's a lottery among the bottom 4 teams (Larry Bird rule). So if you want to tank your season to get Yount or Clemens it isn't a sure thing. (Could be an interesting fight to the bottom in 81 and 85, though!)
-- I'd like to continue with slow clock, at least thru the first 8-10 rounds or so if not the whole thing...we have to live with some of these choices a long time (and significant $$ without lots of championship credits)...some of you know these players like the back of your hands, some of us don't, plus it might take a few rounds to get the hang of ordering proxies.

Yes the first season is 1981. All players who's first carded year is 1981 or earlier as well as all the 75¢ players are elligible to be drafted.

jsamia, please check in and try you new penngray draft site password "test" and make your selection.

It would be nice to think we could draft a round per day but I will be surprised if it goes that quickly. Don't get :evil: :evil: :evil: if it takes 2-4 weeks to complete the draft with no clock.

It's really a hitter's league, isn't it? Clark will feast on the road (fingers crossed). Let's hope Royals and the 'Dome end up in the same division ("Black hole" division, we'll call it).

Divisions--I assume they're static, at least for a few years, right? Or do we realign each year?
