It's cool Penn, if I had wanted a witty reply I would have put one in, but I'm tired

[quote:a610f05748]Well I check the code the other day and it is actually 3 hours after 10 am so that the west coast people have more time to pick.[/quote:a610f05748]

Yeah, that's how it is supposed to be. I don't see why there would be ANY discussion on it. If the rule is the clock starts at 10 AM why wouldn't it be set that way? Anyway, the clock was wrong because it gave Jet and Wineman 3 hours from 8:42, the time of the previous pick.

from 2005-10-26 08:58:20, it gave him 11:58 AM which is 3 hours and it doesnt conflict with the blackout of 12 am - 10 am EST so it didnt set any special time for him.

hehe, it wasnt wrong, it did exactly what it was programmed to do, confused yet ;)

Yeah, i'm real confused. If the clock starts at 10 he should have until 1 regardless of when the previous pick was. That's the way it's always been in the NLD.

Hi Guys,

Big, no offense taken, we know we don't often set proxies, but we're around a lot during the day so we're usually monitoring the draft pretty well. The time we usually have delays is in the morning due to my arrival at work around 8:30, Wednesdays my kids have a "late day" so I don't arrive til around 9.

It's also a lot easier for us to set proxies around the corner, but a lot harder when there's 10-12 picks that will go before us. You guys who know what they want to do ahead of time are much better at this than we are. Course, I think it's also a function of the fact that there are two of us who have to agree. ;)

In any case, the "Wise" pick was supposed to be Rivera and would have been *very* quick pick, but our friend Silver stole him from us. Guess we should have flipped our picks and taken Rivera before Livo.

Just curious, would any of you guys (Hawk, Penn, Silver) have taken Livo had he been there and Rivera was gone?

JG is up. Big must have gotten home.

you could always draft on the boards to ensure you still have what ever rule you have had in the past ;)

I only say this because I dont know why you are on the issue at all. What are you trying to achieve here? Its been this way for 100+ drafts so it cant be all bad and wrong like you continue to post here.

or maybe you just one of those people who enjoy complaining about the meaningless details ;)

Either way, please remember I get ABSOLUTELY nothing for the software, hence NO COMPLAINTS ALLOWED ;)

Hey Penn,

I don't think he's asking for anything, I think he's truly confused.

What I *think* the disconnect is is that you're saying it's behaving exactly the way it's programmed, and that's true. What's he's saying is that it would be nice to have the clock automatically go to 1 pm for any pick that starts before 10 am.

Frankly, as long as the league remembers to not draft in the morning, before the way our rules state, I don't really care! (Guys like me need to be reminded of course!! :))

Jet

p.s. If I wanted to send you a donation, do you have paypal?
p.p.s. Remember to email the '69 data file when you get a chance. Thanks! 8)

Penn- I appreciate your site, I really do....i've mentioned in the past several times how helpful it's been. I only brought up the clock to ensure we didn't skip Wineman before, that's all. I don't know why you think i'm complaining....
