Labor Ratings trash talk section

Petro,

The cost/ratio is just a ratio so reading too much into it outside of a given position is a little dangerous. Just a caveat for you. BTW, are the new numbers more to your liking?

Yeah but it should come closest to approximating value, i.e. bang for the buck.

Won't see the new ratings until Tuesday when I go back to work. No excel at home.

Well, Honus is gone for 15, you play with fire...

At least Mr. Parker is finally hitting over .200 (.202)!!!

Let's see if he can get his OBP over .300 by the end of the season.

SOM is such a dice game. You just never know when guys are going to underperform or overperform.

Riggo must be pulling his hair out. His team is certainly better than it has performed.

Yeah, PBTR is coming on. I thought Riggo was coming on, but he's slumped again. Nothing like your .380 hitters being below .300.

I'm hoping to update the ratings now that we're more than 1/2 way through and there's real data on RP and SP usage. (At least for those teams who haven't made wholesale changes)

Here's the East again.

PBTR is atrocious on the road that's why he's underperforming so badly. I run the ratings for the average he's going to play in. Obviously playing at the Stick skews his numbers.

I'm surprised that Petro is playing as well as he is on the road and that his ERA is actually better in the Polo Grounds.

Of course, this is due in part to the lack of bphrs his staff has and the low singles of Polo. Also due in part to his teams plethora of "real" HRs. But still his offense drops a lot when touring the West. Still searching for answers on that one.

Part of the answer is surely that he's winning a lot of close games. He's got a +47 run dif while PBTR has a +53 but is 5 games back of Petro! :?

More to follow. Probably the West next.
