Bye Bye Yankees !!!!!!!!!

Once again Steinbrenners attempt to buy a championship has failed miserably. But cheer up Yankees fans theres always next year !

But then again who is left to buy that you havent already? Maybe George can find a spot on the bench for a guy like Puljos, or maybe he can pry Ryan Howard away from the Phils; or what the heck how about getting Ortiz, Berkman and Andrew Jones ! After all you know Georges motto;
If you can't beat em.....buy them !

And how about that Brian Cashman too...think George has any plans to replace him with Costanza ??????[/b]

the funny thing is that they won recent championships with homegrowns--Posada, Jeter, Williams, Rivera, Pettite, etc. Ever since Gene Michael's genius in the early 90s gave way to Cashman's idiocy, they've gotten what they deserved.

Their farm system is doing great...for the rest of baseball--just ask Lowell et al.

I laugh at how people want to pin this on torre, it was the players, they just plain stunk, not much you can do as a manager if the players don't step up

I agree. Can't pin this on Torre. Glad they lose none the less.

there is a God! Damn the Yankees! Good riddance! Go Tigers Go! Can't blame Torre though...he is pure class. Not his fault his boss is a know-it-all jackass. The Yankees have great players but no team chemistry to put it all together and win anymore in the playoffs. The "I"'s always have it with the Yankees along with the me and the mine. We, us and ours don't matter to that team. BYE BYE BOMBERS WHO BOMB WHEN IT COUNTS!

I agree- I think Torre is gone.

They should:

1) Trade A-Rod for some pitching
2) Trade Sheffield for some pitching
3) Trade Randy Johnson for some pitching
4) Sign some pitching in the offseason

Knee-jerk reaction time!

They will fire Torre & hire Piniella;
Blow a mint on B. Zito, R. Clemens, A. Pettitte & or J. Schmidt;
Add B. Molina; and

...Still SUCK! :lol:
