Glenn Davis?

Postby Outta Leftfield » Wed Oct 26, 2005 11:59 pm

Well, Glenn Davis might be worth considering. He actually played in the Dome and hit about 30 HR a year. Looking at his card, there seem to be a lot of natural HR. Andre Thornton might be another option. Or how about Bye Bye Balboni. None of these guys seems very popular, but they all hit HR in pitcher's parks. They're usually available, and they all cost less than 5M.

Luzinski is some good natural power as does Deer (he rocks lefties). Horner can be the man. Howard Johnson is the bomb too! Joe Carter. Tony Armas (nothing but power), W Aikens, Durham etc.

Thunder, Andre Thornton, is another good power guy with high OBP.

Is Darryl Evans is the left handed Thornton?

Postby YountFan » Thu Oct 27, 2005 3:11 pm

The problem with Thornton is he needs lefies to really put up the big numbers. He can be a force depending on the year. Is Darryl Evans is the left handed Thornton?

Thanks to everyone for the advice- I went with Davis for now- and already have the FRO- Gamble on my squad- Gamble can be one of the best values in the game to me. I will keep an eye out for Deer and Aikens if they don't produce- Go Big Glen- As I remember from my youth- wasn't he a goofy guy with glasses??? oh well

Not sure who you are thinking of there but Glenn Davis didn't wear glasses or look goofy. Maybe Chris Sabo?
