Did not know this had taken off, I had a team ready and used it for something else but justt drafted another 'm' team and entered into the league.
The Murdering M's are in the Central led by a dynamic lineup of Mays, Musial, Mathews, Mcdougald,McGwire, Meusel, May, and (???)Marion

The pitching staff anchored by such stalwarts as: Mcnally, Marichal, Mayer, and Mogridge
The bullpen replete with gopher ball pitchers in Martinez, McEnaney, Morgan, Miller.
And of course we are situated in Metropolitan Stadium - might have been better in Minneapolis' Metrodome but that wasnt available.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Alrighty then! We have teams for G,B,C,M,A. There was a W somewhere, perhaps still orbitting? I would think S and T might support teams, but is there a T stadium?

Well...technically The Polo Grounds or The Astrodome would fit the T stadium theme

just back from maui, which means I should have squatters rights on 'm', but then again, ames should have a's, and, well...just glad to see league is almost half full now, and some very prestigous company joining in. I concur your original autodraft team should conform exclusively to your chosen letter. need a consensus on what happens after draft night and in terms of trades etc. c'mon folks, this forces you to be creative with creating a roster and use some names you've never tried before, while guarenteeing you about half a dozen absolute studs, that no one else can touch in the autodraft. where are your balls?! oh, they've been busted by my bunghole bunch. bollacks!

I think no deviation through the entire season was the call. It might even be possible to have two "m" teams. Mantle and Morgan make a pretty good start. I'm going to mull it tonight as to a team so you better act fast. Just trying to find a letter that intrigues me.

Yes, my impression is that the greatest interest seems to be for pure teams. And having two M teams will not work because the two would not have exclusive rights to the players, which is one of the things appealing about the league, I think. That means I get Mike Gazella or Dick Groat as my SS. Oh joy.

Tenatively give me D(seems logical since my last name begins with d)

Could I humbly request one exemption to have Dave Bancroft on my team since the town I grew up in and where my mom still lives is Bancroft? No big deal either way and certainly if the current B owner objects then I am fine (or if you think it opens the door for all sorts of requests) or just because.

I will make my team on Monday but if you fill before and or someone else gets a D team in that is okay also.

I'm back in and will keep W. Let me know when we're ready to draft.

mr.bbw, glad you're in, but don't think an exception should be made for bancroft, especially since there's never been a player named naperville who could benefit me. just think part of the charm is forcing us to make teams with limited available options, which in your case would mean durocher at short, and dykes leaky 'd' as backup along with alvin dark if desired. however, I suggest, we should be able to make trades that would allow use of a letter other than our origin if we traded one for another. Im perfectly fine if the consensus is against that, but if it were voted in, I'd be more than happy to trade the rights to bancroft.
glad to have mocrash back, and "w" will be a handful. if both you guys enter, by monday we'll need just five more teams! :)
