The "I Hate Chris Carpenter Fan Club"...

from the ratings book...

Carpenter vs L:

OB: 23.2
TB: 32.9
HR: 2
BPHR: 3

A PNC manager will say "bring this on" in my park.

The above is probably worse than Freddy Garcia (vs-L) or someone like that, going by sheer numbers. Yet, the guy consistently wins no matter how many LHBs you send up against him, and he is always at the top of the pitching categories (wins, K's IPs, ERA).

The real answer....

is that the SOM Santa Claus comes down to the good little boys and leaves RJ's left side of his card in place of Carps.

Don't you wish you were good now Visick? :P

I would respectfully disagree with this statement BC...I have seen alot of league's where he has been pretty poor to average IMO...

That is all of the leagues that i have been in, that he has been a part of. Interestingly, in 3 of the 5 completed Players Championship leagues I have finished, he either was undrafted, or dropped sometime during the season.

Now, I am sure that others could post great years he has had...but he is not lights out in every league. I personally would not draft him, even in MM, since guys like Byrd, Arroyo, Garland, etc...are cheaper and better values IMHO...

my .02 :)
