foggy picks after you so lets wait for his ruling, then both of you can pick. since you picked an NL'er and foggy picked an AL'er, technically you are both on the clock...

im as anxious as anyone to make this pick, (and almost as anxious not to give it away,) but both campanella and yeager are 1's at catcher, while also part of a group of players that include only one per team. make a motion that complying with the jewish or negro leaguer one per team rule excludes that player from compliance with decade or defense rule. is that asking too much? not sure the spirit of the rule on defense meant catching, or that complying with the negro league or jewish rule was meant to handicap your defensive options.

and if we don't allow a waiver on the 1 defensively for negro leaguers and the schindler's list folk, can we atleast say I could have campanella and yeager on the same team, if the picks happened to fall that way? im ready to take e. howard, but not sure im ready for the future round consequences and limitations.

Ruling was already made that your Jewish & NLP were excluded from the decade rule.

I know that mark, it's the 1 defender per infield/outifled im wondering about...especially since three, atleast, of the qualifying catchers are 1's.
I suggest 1's at catcher, atleast if they're one of the chosen ones for compliance with the ethnic rules be excluded, but I can't make that call. not sure where the commish is at, but I'll go ahead and take howard and hope for the best in the ruling.

also strongly reccommend .50 starters be exempt from any other compliance. they're an awful enough burden no matter when they pitched.

OK, if you have a 1 anywhere, including catcher, then you simply have to have at least one 4 somewhere else in the infield and in the outfield. If you have NO 1s anywhere, then you ddo not have to comply with the one 4 in the IF/OF There are tons of 4s you can play at 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, and in LF/RF/CF. It's not too complicated. If you have one 1, you have to have two 4s. If you don't have ANY 1s, then you don't have to have any 4s.

but muncih, didn't the rule state you could only have one 1-rated defender in your infield or outfield, so that if I had a 1 at catcher, I couldn't have one at 3b/ss/2b/1b....or could only have one 1 defender in my three starting outfield spots. is that not true? I can have multiple 1's, but even one 1, means I must have two 4's. :?:
