YIKES!!!! Shifting Sands Draft Thread

Should my computer go, someone can call me [i:f13060bee7]collect[/i:f13060bee7] (just give your name as SOM Baseball), if it's my turn to go. An indicator of that would be if I don't make my pick after some significant time has transpired. I am normally logged on (although not always at my computer) and awake from 6:45am-4pm EST or so. (I usually stay logged on, but sleep from 4 or 5pm until just before 10pm). If there IS something wrong with my computer, and I end up losing it for a few days, you guys would probably want to find a replacement for me. Hope it doesn't come to that, but I don't want to mess it up for everyone else. Anyway, just wanted everyone to be aware. :(

Foggy needs to enable proxy use.

There should be at least one other person set up as draft admin as well. I know penn's site extremely well, so I am a good candidate. :wink:

So, are we no longer drafting in this thread? On a side note, my computer has crashed three more times since my above post. Not feeling good about this. Don't know if I will be able to stay on today or not. :(

OK, I entered my first three picks as proxies on Penn's site, in their respective rounds. I guess that is what I am supposed to do?

Maybe Gehringer is his DH (decade exemmpt) and Rosen will play 2B...

The only way ranger selections work are if one of Gehringer and Campy DH. Then he is in comliance with "iron glove" and decade themes. Rosen is jewish so he is not subject to decade. Rosen would have to play the IF.

Obviuosly, since Ranger has Musial (same decade as Gehringer), Campenella will be his DH and Rosen will play 1b. He cant put Musial at 1b unless Rosen plays SS (as iron glove beacuse Rosen is a "3" at 3b). ERGO, Musial is his LF. BUt that would make his decades the same for IF and OF --- a NO NO.

Campy - DH
Rosen - Likely 1b (no decade required)
Gehringer -2b --thus setting IF at "40s"
Musial - LF (thus setting OF at "40s" too)

actually im not screwed YET, since foggy didn't use the proxy I pm'd him, but it would mean i'd have to change who I really wanted with this pick. my understanding is iron glove is not exempt from decade, only the jewish players and perhaps your negro leaguer. clarification on decades having to differ?
