I need a DH, 3b, 2b, SS, and an entirely new relief staff. Other than that, I think we've got the makings of a World Champion. So, basically, kind of like the Royals.

The Champagne is already on ice.

Well, I pick 10th -- mainly because I got everyone I ranked 6th and past -- but that does NOT help me with the players I missed in my TOP 5.

I thought it was supposed to be a "weighted" waivers!

I took a hit not getting M.Cabrera or Griffey in my top 5. I also had Hudson up high and missed him. Overall missed on 7 or 8 players. I think I can rebuild her. I don't like my OF or IF but I like Heilman and my top couple of pitchers....

Even though I'm traumatized by getting 5 guys named Jason on my team, I pretty much got the guys I drafted which is scary, because none of you guys wanted my draftees!! This is my 3rd Minute Maid team. The other 2 did well, so why not shoot for a trifecta! :D

Not true Kev old boy, you got ONE of my top 5 as well as a valuable asset that I like that no one usually drafts. :x

That doesn't make sense to me that I would have the 8th pick ahead of you - While getting my top 7 picks and losing only 6 total picks.

I wonder exactly what value higher picks have in Weighted Waivers.

Specialty teams are always a gamble.....but it's interesting to tinnker around with different strategies. My horrible 2006 record is a testament to my tinkering!!

Supposedly if you miss on yor top pick you get 25 weighted points, 2nd is 24, 3rd is 23, etc... I remember a Weighted draft where i missed on a bunch of my top ones, something like 5-6 of the top 10 only to be in the bottom for waivers leftovers.

For example, here I got only 7 of my 14 position players. Hudson, Gonzo, Wilson, and 4 "under 1 mils" (Cora, Pierre, Davannon, Durazo) the 7 that I missed were ranked middle of the card say 7-14 so in weighted waivers terms that would be 19+18+17+16+15+14+13+12=124 points.

What Sucks is that you can miss on your top 5 and I would still get a higher waiver pick than you

Top 5= 25+24+23+22+21=115 points.

IMO it shucks big toes to miss on top 5 guys and end up low in the order.

I ain't complainin' much here since even though I don't really have a team I drafted quite differently this time -and a bunch of players I don't really use...and didn't get anyway. Essentially I got my pitching staff the way i asked for it...a 2B and a SS. Now I've got to get to work.
