GBBR(Good Buds Bragging Rights ) League

OK, back by polular demand ahemm, ahemm...yours truly is about to perform another show stopping musical segment.

The request came to me via league mail, and even though I feel it is only right to respond to requests right then and there I also think that singing in league mail is just not right, you know?

It would be like dressing up like the clown in a Stephen king Novel, hiding in your closet, wait until you are intimate in your B-Day suit with a special-special someone-someone and [i:01bb76c61e]then[/i:01bb76c61e] come out in the killer clown outfit singing a Petula Clark Classic, you know? -Just doesn't sound right.

So, here, in the public streets these forums are...

ahemm, ahemm...

This one's for you Kev...

[i:01bb76c61e]Jasons keep fallin' on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those Jasons are fallin' on my bed  , they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those Jasons are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Jeepdriver keep fallin' on my lap :P
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Cryin's not for me
'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothin's worryin' me[/i:01bb76c61e]

Weighted teams are more of a challenge. BTW, you'll see a lefty starter when you face me, I'd imagine. The problem with weighted teams is that they limit the potential free agent pool somewhat. I think overall it hurts me play in these parks, but it's more fun, so I'll live with it. I'd better have one heck of a home record though. MM is going to chew me up and spit me out.

It seems like that's the most popular park this year. Which maybe should figure in to my draft strategy as well...

C2 (aka Petula)--that was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
I take back all the bad things I said about your singing!
I'm touched!

Well I'm a little disappointed. I ask for the song and then get left out.

I think I'll take my ball and go home.

BTW, San Francisco is 75 degress and sunny. Nebraska is 40 degrees with rain. I think I'm staying here.

Plus TEXAS is coming to Nebraska as well, so I would definitely stay away! :P

Sandy, I'll be at that game Saturday. Always fun when the Horns come into town.

We're not back to Top 10 form yet but we should give them a run for their money.

[quote:632065a389]On a sidenote, ESPN College Game Day is going to be 10 miles down the road from me in Clemson (SC) this Saturday. Since they normally pick to be at the venue which has the biggest game of the week nationally, this is pretty cool. #12 Clemson hosts #13 Ga. Tech. A win definitely puts the Tigers in position for a BCS Bowl Game, which goes to the eventual ACC champion. [/quote:632065a389]

Puh-leeze. It's just that they have already been to Austin this year and don't want to go to Lincoln.

Texas is ranked higher than Clemson in the BCS and Nebraska is higher than Ga. Tech. If any game has serious consequences THIS one does. :P Heck, Clemson and Ga. Tech will probably meet again in the ACC Championship game (Although for that matter so might Texas and Nebraska but it is a little tougher conference top to bottom).

Yeah, it should be a good game Stoney. I am hoping that a win will get us a little respect from the computers because that seems to be why we are getting slighted in the BCS rankings as opposed to the polls.

Personally, I think we are a WAY better team then we were versus OSU in Week One and this game could/should have a big effect on the compter rankings (I hope).

Enjoy the game!!! :D

All I get here is Boise State. I get headaches going to the games and looking at the Bright Blue field! Seriously!!
Yes, they are undefeated and ranked in the top 25. However, I think winning on ESPN Sunday Night at New Mexico State 40-28 doesn't exactly launch anyone into a BCS bid any time soon!
I think BSU is playing Lisa's Interior Design College this week. BSU is favored by 10. I'm thinking on betting on the spread!
