Maybe this will peak a little interest:

This is my team post draft...pre waivers

Did ok, but missing a lead off hitter, and a RF.

Planning on using Taguchi in center to save money and my relief need some work.

Again I am Playing at Yankee Stadium and the other stadiums are Turner, Safeco and The Cell.

I was thinking about Dropping Tejada, Langerhans, and Gruz for Rollins, Vlad and Kent respectively.

Obviously that is if waivers go exactly like I planned (which never happens)

I pick 2nd in Waivers

Here is my team:

I currently have 2 Yankee Stadium teams about half way through the season a DH and a NO-DH league. Kind of early to tell who's really good in the stadium. BEing an even stadium, I kind of taylored my team to beat the teams in my div based on there ball parks. ie a guy in MM has a couple lefty starters so I have Sexson, he's having a good year. I also have a well balanced bull pen.

You really need a tablesetter on this team. (ie. someone to get on base).

There are a # of possibilities/options left:

M. Young or C. Duffy.

Jeter makes more sense than Tejada. He can lead off for you, at least vs. RH's. See if you can grab him.

Your OF of Murton, Tag and Langerhans could all go down for 15 games.

Visick,

Instead of pm,

Here is what I have come up with, and it works money wise.

First Put claim on Jeter (Tejada goes away)
Then Buehrle for Garland
Then Vlad for Langerhans

That is as far as I have gotten, but will be dumping Putz and Benitez
Most likely for Tavarez and Baldwin

Lineup would look something like this vs Righty (lefties most likely switch 8 and 9 hitters)

Jeter
Gruz(won't have enough for Kent)
Ortiz
Clark
Taguchi
Vlad
Murton
Mueller
Kendall

This is what I got stuck with

Postby BRADSANDBOTHE » Sat Oct 21, 2006 5:22 pm

Well,

Waivers didn't go the way I had hoped, but this is what I could piece together.

There weren't any good lefties left at all except Duke, and that posed a few problems in itself.

I ended up getting Jenkins, but had to go with Duffy and move Taguchi over to Right and put Duffy in center so I would have enough to get Zach Duke and Suppan (I didn't want to pitch Tracshel regularly)

By the way there are a ton of lefty batters in my division

So feel free to pick it apart:

Line ups will go something like this

Jeter
Duffy
Clark
Ortiz
Taguchi
Murton
Grudzielanek
Mueller
Kendall

For Lefties, Replace Kendall with Matheny batting 8th and Mueller 9th

If there are a ton of lefty bats in your division you might want to grab Mulder.

Duke is nice but expensive for a guy that can't pitch every 4 days. Robertson and Ramirez have done well for me in the past.
